PARENT TEACHER FORUM MEETING ON MONDAY, 29th AUGUST 2016

MINUTES OF THE MEETING

  •  Ms. Sangeeta Mukherjee (H.M. Primary Wing) read out the minutes of the meeting of the last PTF.
  • Principal ma’am’s address.
        • First school to create
        • Child abuse committee
        • Safety and security committee

(Members of PTF also included during the meeting of these committees.)
Discussed about the POCSO ACT.

  • A full proof fire fighting system will be soon in place.
  • A new RO PLANT in next two months.
        • Assurance of a better educational environment.
        • Need to  keep pace with the changing times.
        • Results shared : 118 students cleared JEE Mains.
        • As a part of UDAAN project 143/376  girls cleared JEE Mains .
        • 14 students from Manipur cleared JEE Mains.
        • 12/15 students cleared National Round of KVPY.
        • 10 students cleared NEET Examination.
        • 2 students cleared AIIMS.
        • CLAT-10 students.
        •  NIFT-12  students.
        • SRCC-4 selections.
        • Buses which are 10 yr old to retire.5 new buses to be added to the current fleet.
        • By September all new 21 buses to be on road.
        • DPSG an Authorized IB school.
        • Access to IB infrastructure including the new library.
        • Choice of two Boards for class X students.(IB and CBSE)
        • IB curriculum available at a nominal Fee.
        • Fully air-conditioned class rooms and buses.
        • Working towards a better creative environment.
        • Construction work about to get completed.
        • New Ramps ready for the students- friendly building for the disabled
        • A new exit in the Primary Wing.
        • Periphery road constructed—no vehicles near the students’ walk- way
        • New electricity substation – completely safe building
        • Cafeteria  in the final stages of completion
        •  Students happy about the AC classrooms
        • Efficiency of Students and teachers increased with AC classrooms.
        • Requirement for a transport incharge and a doctor.
        • Very efficient and well qualified nurses already on permanent roll.
        • 21 buses off road due to MTP orders.
        • 5 new AC buses already on routes.
        • Difficult to run buses in the low height lanes and by lanes so new low height buses to be purchased.
        • Invited volunteers for help regarding better transport facilities.
        • 2016-17 admission forms for various classes.
        • New fee structure awaited—after the government structure(waiting for other Delhi and NCR schools to announce/roll out the 7th pay commission)
        • Suggestion sought from the PTF members whether to roll out the 7th pay commission to the teachers.
        • Provision of locker system for students of secondary wing, due to heavy bags(implemented )
        • Some component of fee structure retained- AC and stationery charges to remain the same.
        • No increase in fee for non AC buses (past 3 yrs)—will have to increase the charges in future depending on the increased fuel cost, insurance amount and increase in the salaries of lady guards, drivers and conductors. 
  • Feedback(Suggestions)given by the parents:-
  • Agreed on the point to roll out salary as per the 7th pay commission to teachers to retain good and talented teachers with the school.
  • How will the Effectiveness of IB board be measured in comparison to CBSE board.

(Different parameters of the two boards. IB board results to be compared with the other IB schools across the country)

  • Students, especially the class I and II, are getting too tired after 7 hrs of school

(will consider about changes in the winter school timings)

  • When will the AC buses ply in all the routes?

( will try to start in the next session)

  • How to know about the location of the buses in case of any delay or breakdown?

( An app is going to be available for the parents to subscribe and an SMS is always sent in case of any such issue)

  • What impact of 7th pay commission on the students on scholarship?

(will be calculated on the basis of certain percentage of the hike—eg technology fee)

  • Along with Parent I card can the school also go for an Electronic Parent I Cards?

(RFID reader was thought about for the students as well but the  RFID reader cant read the finger prints in case of bulk entries hence is difficult for parents as well, moreover we have new visitors every day).

In her concluding speech, the Principal expressed the need for PTF members to come together and organize various events.
