The President of India presented the coveted ‘National Award to Teachers’, to Ms. Jyoti Gupta Principal, Delhi Public School Ghaziabad in recognition of the hard work and dedication put in by her in developing the young minds in a glittering ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan. 18 teachers from CBSE affiliated schools across the country were presented this prestigious award for leading, caring and inspiring students to believe in themselves and be the best they can.

The award carries a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs.25, 000 and a silver medal.  Ms Gupta has emerged as a   reflective practitioner in the field of pedagogy and an icon for the teaching community.. She sees a pivotal role for the teachers in re-setting the moral compass. The teachers have to help our youth imbibe the essential civilizational values.

 Beginning her teaching career at an early age of 19, she consistently worked hard in almost all aspects of schools to scale the ladder of success. Being a stalwart in her own way, her administrative acumen and dynamism made her head three reputed schools in Delhi before joining DPSG.

Dedicating this prestigious award to the teachers of all the schools she has worked in she manifested humility and reposed her illimitable faith and trust in her workforce. She reiterated that the award received by her belonged to each one of them, 

Enthusing her teachers she expressed her firm belief that one can excel where ever one is working.
